Summary
The Quality Improvement Engineer is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining world class quality systems and processes to assure that all products manufactured by the Company meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality levels.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Define and specify the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products and systems.
- Improve quality by standardizing processes and structuring to reduce variation.
- Collect production data, analyze outputs, and determine corrective courses of action to promote safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Analyze and identify trends, prioritize and recommend improvements, reduce waste, and ensure customer and ISO compliance.
- Maintain the QMS in compliance with latest ISO requirements.
- Facilitate the drafting of guidelines, instructions, and other reference documentation to support the Quality System.
- Maintain a database of nonconforming parts and ability to query data to determine significant opportunities for improvement.
- Meet with team members, customers, and suppliers to discuss quality matters.
- Coordinate the Company's quality audit programs for internal audits, customer audits and supplier audits.
- Coordinate and obtain approvals for submissions of new products and engineering samples. Supports the New Product Development Activities.
- Assist on providing necessary training to all employees to achieve higher customer or world class quality standards
Qualifications:
Knowledge: Thorough understanding of inspection analysis. Must understand data analysis. Experience of 1-3 years in Quality Improvement Engineering/Process Control/Improvement work in a manufacturing environment. A bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred, with engineering desired.
Abilities: Demonstrated ability to work with a team, offer and accept constructive criticism, and mentor team members to enhance capabilities and good professional judgment. Ability to work independently and organize time effectively. Demonstrated ability to successfully interact with all organizational levels, customers, and vendors.
Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Excellent and positive attitude.

Must be able to lift 75 Lbs. and eyesight of 20/20 with or without corrective lenses
