QSAC is seeking dedicated and energetic staff looking to work with individuals on the Autism Spectrum, who will provide direct instruction. We are hiring for all roles in the school. We are currently hiring for Teacher Assistants and Special Education Teachers.
QSAC will be hosting an in person event with Hiring Managers that will give you the opportunity to receive employment decisions the same day. It will take place on 4.22.25 from 10:00 am to 3:00pm at our Whitestone Day School.
This position requires you to work with individuals on the Autism Spectrum between the ages of 5-21 years old
Regular work hours at the Whitestone Day School is from 8:00 am - 3:30 pm Mon - Friday ( 1/2 hour lunch). The school operates on a year round schedule (12 months)
Salary Ranges for Education Positions
Teacher's Aide - $17.00
Teacher Assistant $21.00 (Must have TA-1 Certificate)
Substitute Teacher $ 23.00 -$ 29.00 hourly (Certifications - NYS Students with Disabilities B-2, 1-6, 5-9, 7-12, Permanent, or All Grades required)
Special Education Teacher $ 65,000.00 - $ 90,000.00 annually - Commensurate with level of certification, education, experience and ABA credentials (if applicable).

Teacher Assistants: The starting rate for this position is $17.00 USD Hourly if you do not have TA-1 Certification. As a requirement of this position, you must obtain your TA-1 Certification within the first 4 months of employment. After successful completion of this certification, your rate will be adjusted to $21.00 USD Hourly.
Special Education Teacher: Special Education Teachers require NY State certification (Students with Disabilities 1-6 ). Teaching responsibilities include implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEP), classroom management, participation in annual meetings, and completion of required reports. Extensive training and support are provided with opportunities for professional growth and development.
