Job Description
Role Overview: As a Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic, you'll maintain and repair various heavy equipment, including forklifts, cranes, and loaders. You'll diagnose, troubleshoot, and ensure the safe operation of equipment, with travel to other terminals in Texas and across the U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance and inspections.
- Ensure repairs comply with safety regulations.
- Repair/replace components like engines, transmissions, and hydraulics.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to resolve issues.
- Operate shop equipment and assist other mechanics as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends and equipment advancements.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
- 3 years of experience as a mechanic preferred.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a valid driver's license.
- Must have own tools.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Regular climbing, balancing, stooping, and crouching.
- Work in various weather conditions and loud environments.
