Key responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative support, including data entry, phone support, and patient communication
- Assisting in the examination process of patients under the direction of a physician, including taking vital signs and recording information on patients' charts
- Preparing specimens for laboratory analysis and conducting a variety of diagnostic tests
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with 0-5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Valid National Certification from one of the following Associations: National Health Career (NHA), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), American Medical Technologist (AMT), or National Center or Competency Testing (NCCT)
Additionally, you will need to obtain AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting.
