Primary Function: Providing nursing services to all students as outlined by the District and MA Department of HealthQualifications: Minimum 2 years employment as RN in child health, community health or relevant clinical nursing settingCertified in CPRBachelors Degree in NursingValid license as RN in the State of MassachusettsResponsibilities: Provide nursing care and first aid to students as needed, including individual medical needs ie: G Tube management & feeds, diabetes, asthma, seizures, etc.Work collaboratively with the school staff, parents, and guardians to provide for the healthcare needs of studentsComply with district and state policies/proceduresMaintain confidentiality relative to patient careCommunicate information effectively to appropriate personnelMaintain a safe, therapeutic environment for studentsInitiate emergency care as appropriate to circumstanceComply and make appropriate referrals regarding applicable health laws, immunization, and communicable diseasesComply with accepted ethical conduct and professional standards of nursing practice as set forth by the American Nurses Association or equivalent nursing organization* Be proficient in use of SNAP nursing program for documentation.Salary: $130 per day
