Quad City Gastroenterology has been providing care for patients with digestive health issues, in this community, for over 25 years. Our primary goal is to deliver and maintain the highest quality of medical care in gastroenterology while maintaining the highest level of compassion and efficiency. We are currently looking to add a Nurse Practitioner to our team, to practice in our Iowa and Illinois offices, with the same passion for patient care that we do.
Job Description
Functions in collaboration with physicians and well as independently, in the delivery of gastrointestinal health care. Chosen candidate must be able to assess and interpret findings to appropriately diagnose, educate and develop management plans for individuals with chronic and acute Gastrointestinal illnesses. Professional development and leadership is a must to ensure quality patient care. Additional responsibilities include:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients with gastrointestinal disorders.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care in outpatient settings.
- Utilize EHR systems for accurate documentation and patient management.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options and lifestyle modifications.
- Stay updated on advancements in gastroenterology and participate in clinical research as needed.
Requirements:
- Must have successfully completed a formal program of study designed to prepare nurses to perform expanded role functions in the delivery of health care, such as Masters in Science degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
- Must be a Registered Nurse and have ACLS certification.
- Must be licensed to practice in the state of Iowa and Illinois.
- Certified by of one the National Certification Boards (ANCC, AANP).
Experience:
- 2 -5 years experience as a nurse practitioner in an outpatient physician office setting preferred. Hospital and previous Internal Medicine and/or Gastroenterology experience is also desirable, however, new graduates will be considered.
