MUST :
The qualified Medical Assistant must have the following experience :
3 years of experience as a medical assistant in an internal medicine setting
Registered or Certified is preferred or must have a medical assistant diploma
Strong clinical skills
Must have phlebotomy experience
Administering injections
EKG's
Experience assisting with clinical exams and procedures
Strong communications skills and strong clinical knowledge and abilities
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
Must have strong computer / EMR skills
Knowledge of population health
Scheduling and obtaining prior authorizations
DUTIES :
Medical assistant will be responsible for the following :
Rooming patients
Taking vitals
Administering injections
Drawing blood
EKG s
Assist with exams and procedures
Enter patient information into EMR system
Keep exam rooms cleaned and stocked
Ensure all related labs and reports are entered into patients charts
Provide patient education to patients
Obtain pre-authorizations
Schedule procedures
Process prescriptions
