Personnel Security Officer SME I

MUST :
Eligible for Level II Federal Public Trust
10 years of overall experience in the Personnel Security / Security program operations fields for Federal clients
6 years of experience of operations experience in Personnel Security processes, including advising on development for dashboards and reporting
In-depth knowledge of Security protocols
The knowledge of commonly applied security principles, concepts, and methodologies
The knowledge of administrative regulations and sanctions that apply to violations or non-compliance with security regulations
Ability to analyze various types of materials, to develop information regarding security vulnerabilities as it would apply to approval or denial of facility or information system access
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Strong presentation skills and ability to lead meeting and present to clients
Strong documentation skills
relevant trainings and certifications are a plus
DUTIES :
Work closely with the development and implementation team and provide input and suggestions for enhancing the Personnel Security system process
Provide expert knowledge to ensure that project personnel have familiarity or current knowledge of personnel security operations
Research to gather information on best practices, legal requirements, industry standards, and relevant regulations
Document operational and technical requirements in a clear and concise format so IT staff can develop supporting IT tools and systems that ensure program compliance, integrity and efficiency
Provide expertise to assist with the design and development of an investigative case portal: a centralized portal that offers Personnel Security quick access to recent or priority cases, the ability to create new instances or view a list of applicants, and tools to help personnel manage their workload and increase productivity effectively
Provide operational support assistance for inquiries related to the investigative case portal and digitized case management system
Provide expertise for the development of training guides and training plan for involved with PerSec case management
Provide expertise related to the technical operating environment for personnel security case processing (electronic file delivery, remote fingerprinting, etc.)
