Product Management Data Scientist Supply Chain Management

Job Description:

We are seeking a Product Management Data Scientist Supply Chain Management to drive the development and optimization of AI-powered supply chain solutions. This role blends data science expertise with product management to build intelligent forecasting, inventory optimization, and logistics solutions. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of supply chain analytics, machine learning (ML), and data-driven decision-making, with experience in developing AI/ML-based products for real-world business challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Management & Strategy:

• Define and execute the product roadmap for AI/ML-driven supply chain solutions.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, engineers, and data scientists to develop data-driven products that optimize logistics, inventory, and demand forecasting.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify gaps and opportunities in supply chain AI solutions.
• Translate complex supply chain challenges into AI/ML-powered product requirements with clear business objectives.
• Define and track KPIs, success metrics, and ROI for AI-driven supply chain solutions.

Data Science & AI Model Development:

• Develop and implement predictive analytics, forecasting models, and optimization algorithms for supply chain efficiency.
• Leverage ML models for demand prediction, route optimization, supplier risk management, and warehouse automation.
• Ensure models are production-ready by working closely with engineering and MLOps teams for deployment and monitoring.
• Validate and improve model performance using real-world data from ERP, IoT, and logistics systems.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Business Impact:

• Collaborate with supply chain, operations, and procurement teams to drive AI adoption in decision-making.
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure scalable and cost-effective AI implementation in supply chain workflows.
• Communicate complex AI solutions to business leaders, supply chain managers, and executives in a clear and actionable way.

Technology & Tools:

• Work with Python, R, SQL, and big data technologies for large-scale data analysis.
• Utilize ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) to build AI models.
• Leverage cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and supply chain management systems (SAP, Oracle SCM, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Implement data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) for insights and reporting.

Qualifications & Skills:

Must-Have:

• 10 -15 years of experience in data science, AI/ML, and product management within the supply chain domain.
• Strong understanding of supply chain optimization, logistics, procurement, and inventory management.
• Proven experience in building AI/ML-based supply chain solutions, from ideation to deployment.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis.
• Ability to work with structured and unstructured data from various sources (ERP, IoT, sensors, transportation data).
• Strong business acumen and ability to translate data-driven insights into actionable business strategies.
• Experience working in agile product management, defining user stories, and prioritizing backlogs.

Preferred:

• Master s or PhD in Data Science, AI, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
• Experience with digital twin simulations, reinforcement learning, and AI-driven automation in supply chains.
• Knowledge of blockchain applications for supply chain transparency and security.
• Prior experience in retail, e-commerce, manufacturing, or logistics industries.
