Purpose of Job Position
The primary purpose of this job position is to direct the day-to-day functions of the facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern long term care facilities to assure that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to our residents at all times.
Lead Nursing Operations
- Plan, develop, and implement nursing services to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
- Maintain and update written policies and procedures to guide day-to-day operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide a seamless care experience for patients.
Support and Develop the Team
- Recruit, train, and mentor nursing staff to build a dedicated and skilled team.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to address challenges, share updates, and celebrate successes.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, ensuring staff feel supported and valued.
Ensure Compliance and Safety
- Participate in facility inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Oversee infection control protocols and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
- Regularly review patient care plans and nursing notes to maintain compliance and quality standards.
Promote Patient-Centered Care
- Build relationships with patients and families to ensure their needs and preferences are met.
- Develop individualized care plans that reflect patient goals and interdisciplinary input.
- Ensure patient privacy, dignity, and rights are always respected.
Drive Continuous Improvement
- Participate in quality assurance programs to evaluate and enhance nursing services.
- Provide input on budgetary needs for staffing, supplies, and equipment.
- Stay updated on industry trends and integrate best practices into nursing operations.
Qualifications
- A four-year nursing degree from an accredited institution (preferred).
- Active RN license in good standing in the state of Arkansas.
- Proven leadership experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or similar healthcare setting.
