We are looking for a friendly face to join our team as a Server/Bartender to help support our Food and Beverage operation.

The Server/Bartender will be responsible for providing an unmatched level of customer service, assisting with the overall Food and Beverage operation, while representing Quail West with the highest level of professionalism at all times. Provides beverage service to club members and guests during dinners and banquets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up service station(s) and performs assigned side work as assigned.
- Knowledge on service pieces, service procedures and service timing.
- Knowledge of menu sauces and wine service.
- Provides immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating.
- Distributes menus to members and guests as needed.
- Fills glasses with ice water while members and guests review menu.
- Describes any specials of the day to members and guests. Answers questions regarding any menu item. Offers suggestions of menu items when appropriate.
- Takes food and beverage order for members and guests.
- Complies with all laws/policies relating to the service of alcohol.
- Able to mix cocktails, set up cooking carts and cook tableside recipes.
- Turn orders into the kitchen, advising cooks about any special cooking instructions OR has knowledge to input into POS computer system.
- Assembles food on tray, serve meal, place dishes by course in front of each person, and serve from the left of each person.
- Follows up with members and guests to ensure satisfaction. Replenish items as needed.
- Removes dirty dishes.
- Suggests and serves dessert, coffee and after dinner drinks.
- Charges the bill to the members account.
- Keeps restaurant clean, well stocked and organized
- Maintains linens/restocking.
- Advises Department Leaders of any complaints.
- Performs clean-up and closing duties.
- Attends any food and beverage meetings.
- Responsible for tip declaration.
- Performs related banquet set-up tasks (tables and stations).
- Cleans all banquet equipment that will be used for the function.
- Provides immediate attention to members and guests as they arrive at the function.
- Serves Cocktails, hors oeuvres and the meal.
- Pour and refill wine, coffee, water and/or other beverages served with and after the meal.
- Remove dirty dishes as needed.
- Cleans assigned work area.
- Knows the proper procedure for ringing the function through the POS banquet computer system.
- Assists in the closing functions (removing linens, bussing glasses, dishes, silverware, and re-setting the room).
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Computer: Ability to proficiently use Microsoft office, (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Language: Ability to read, write and comprehend correspondence, memos, and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees.
Mathematics: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Other:

Qualifications:
- Minimum two years’ experience in a private club and/or high-volume restaurant.
- Effective people skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong decision-making and multi-tasking skills
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Moderate noise level in the work environment.
