Position of Summary:
Performs at an experienced level of professional activities centering on management of inventory and purchasing processes as well as data collection for project management, forecasting, P& L support and record keeping.
What you will do
- Perform physical inventory. Use of Corporate ERP system to record inventory transactions, including: purchases and sales. Generates reports for internal and external use. Prepare/present data (reports, charts, spreadsheets) in a relevant manner.
- Perform revenue/expense reconciliation. Supports budgeting and forecasting process.
- Communicate with suppliers, freight carriers and site team. Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers. Familiarize self with customers contract.
- Works on projects to consolidate products and reduce working capital. Assist with projects that improve plant processes
- Participate in meetings.
- May manage SDS and hazardous communication. May maintain customer specific software and processes.
- Administers Supplier Rating Program.
WORK ENVIRONMENT / EHS RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work in an office environment and/or in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. May occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock and trip and slip hazards. The noise level in the manufacturing environment is loud.
Occasionally lift 50lbs while in manufacturing setting, may have to traverse over slippery, uneven surfaces while in manufacturing setting.
Ensure a safety mindset throughout designated area of responsibility.
Maintain the highest EHS standards while at customers site.
What we look for
Bachelors Degree in Business or equivalent experience.
Two or more years purchasing/inventory experience in a manufacturing or other on-site service environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Ability to lead and facilitate effective meetings
Demonstrate basic mathematical skills. Precise and accurate in dealing with figures and details. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, fractions, conversions and proportions. Ability to analyze, evaluate and or produce data such as charts and graphs. Understand various business performance indicators such as P&L statements, Net Present Value and ROI.
Organized and able to organize systems to obtain desired results. Flexibility to respond to unanticipated situations. Able to manage multiple demands and establish priorities. Able to deal with pressure situations. Should also be decisive, persuasive, and assertive and able to see the big picture. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Must have an extensive working knowledge of: Internet software, e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, presentations software, project tracking, ERP software (order processing, warehousing) and database software.
