Job Type : PRN (as needed basis)

Core Responsibilities :

• The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in the ambulatory setting.
• Ability to scrub required procedures.
• Care of the surgical patient in the Pre-op, Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery as well as the OR circulator.
• Provides Nursing care to a broad range of surgical patients in the Plastic Surgery environment.
• The RN is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care of all assigned patients
• The RN will coordinate care with members of the health care team including the Surgeon, Anesthesia team (Anesthesiologist, CRNA) , Surgical Technologist and Perioperative RN
• Pre-op assessment and admission
• Pre op phone calls involving instructions for patients.
• Provides ongoing assessment to determine optimal discharge criteria and timing
• Provides discharge instructions to patient, family members and / or caregiver.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday with flexibility in start and end times.
