Expeditor

Summary:
As an Expeditor your role would be ensuring accountability of materials needed per job. This includes spot checking for quality issues, accounting for correct quantities of materials needed, and direct line communication with your supervisor to ensure accurate information is being relayed.

Responsibilities:
· Accountability of materials

· Transporting materials to needed areas – by hand or powered equipment

· Organizational skills to efficiently track materials by job

· Housekeeping – keep work area clean and clear to mitigate safety hazards and enable efficient workflow

· Staging materials to facilitate quick implementation of those materials by coworkers

· Spot checking materials for quality issues

· Communicating to supervisor any discrepancies found in accounting for and spot checking materials

· Ability to work independently at times

· Physical ability to lift 50 pounds

· Physical ability to climb stairs and ladders to load and unload materials on and off trucks and trailers

· Operate hand or power tools – grinders, saws, drills, etc.

· Any other special taskings as directed by management

Qualifications:
· Safety oriented mindset

· Strong work ethic

· Physical stamina to work a full shift

· Attention to Detail

· Preferred – experience with Heavy Machinery – Trucks, Forklifts, etc.

· Preferred – experience with Structural Steel or similar industrial environments

· Preferred – experience in using overhead cranes
