Since 1972 Qualicoat Inc. has been a quality applicator of decorative and functional coatings to plastic and metal substrates. We are a leading supplier to companies in the sheet-metal, machining, computer, electronics, office equipment, medical, defense and die casting industries. Qualicoat Inc. also engages in the reconditioning of office equipment, sub-assemblies, silk screening, and pad printing.
Qualicoat Inc. is seeking an Estimating Assistant who would provide essential support to estimators by assisting with tasks like gathering data, analyzing project blueprints, and compiling cost analyses for coating projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
As the Estimating Assistant, you will play a key role in assisting in ensuring the timely completion of RFQ’s. Duties and responsibilities include:
Job Duties:
- Reviewing RFQ’s which are provided by the customer.
- Determine required coating process and materials
- Meticulously gathers data from various sources, customers, including project blueprints, specifications, and supplier information.
- Mark up prints based on the operation required via Qualicoat’ s internal marking system.
Other Duties:
- Organizes and manages project-related documents, including plans, specifications, and proposals.
- Retrieve completed job travelers/job routers for review processes and efficiency to compare to quoted estimates
- Maintains clear and effective communication with estimators, other stakeholders within Qualicoat, customers and suppliers.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- An Associate’s degree in business, engineering or related field with relevant experience or a combination of technical training and experience would be helpful.
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related field is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality results, in a timely manner.
- Punctuality and reliability to adhere to scheduled shifts.
- Ability to follow instructions.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Previous experience in blueprint reading.
- Ability to plan and use time efficiently
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Approach all tasks with a positive can do spirit.

Pay: $18.75 - $21.00 per hour
