General Summary of Position :
The Facilities Engineer is responsible for performing, assisting, and / or overseeing all manufacturing / facilities maintenance activities such that the business can meet or exceed all customer expectations by creating a culture of service excellence.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities :
Maintain safety, quality, and compliance in accordance with company policies and procedures
Responsible for and perform corrective and preventative maintenance
Responsible for and perform installation and modification of equipment
Responsible for completing work orders, calibrations, and inspections
Partner with contractors and / or vendors as required to carry out maintenance, projects, and improvements
Assist management in the evaluation process when determining the outsourcing of maintenance, projects, and improvements to contractors and / or vendors
Assist management with regards to capital planning, process improvement, justification, procurement, and installation
Operate, maintain, and record production wastewater treatments, including ordering and inventory of treatment chemicals
1st tier support team member in emergency and / or unplanned shut-down and / or start-ups
Assist with overseeing general upkeep of the facilities
Other job duties as assigned
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required
Trade School Certification or associate's degree in applicable trade (preferred)
5 to 10 years of direct experience in a related maintenance role
Experience with programming and modifying PLC for existing and improved process control
Experience with integrating actuators and sensors into programs for process control
Experience with designing and implementing process controls and improvements
Knowledge of general maintenance and repairs in a manufacturing environment
Ability to repair equipment and fabricate solutions
Must be able to work with and or around hazardous chemicals
Must be able to work outside of normal business hours to support the business
Ability to work with and follow instructions from supervisors and / or other Facilities Engineer(s)
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to think analytically
Prolonged periods standing and walking
Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
Can work independently and collaboratively as a team member to meet goals
Meets or exceeds our internal and external customers' expectations consistently
Ability to be positive during difficult or challenging situations
Biweekly pay. Paid on Fridays
