Product Development Manager
At Qualigence, we are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Manager to lead our product development process. This key role requires strong project management and leadership skills to drive multiple new product development programs. The successful candidate will have direct visibility to senior management and will be accountable for delivering projects on time and on budget, exceeding customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, and experience in a manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities will include developing and managing robust project plans, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring project deliverables meet the highest expectations of quality, consistently on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage project plans, including identification and management of critical path
- Lead cross-functional teams through all phases of program development
- Proactively drive innovative design solutions, developing direct relationships with customers
- Communicate project costs, schedule, and technical performance to customers and internal stakeholders
- Ensure optimized product designs for composite materials and manufacturing processes
- Identify and facilitate resolution of conflicting issues
- Leverage outside resources to drive programs, assisting customers with design concepts and prototyping
- Visit customer design locations and plants to define application requirements and develop engineering, production, and purchasing relationships
Education and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in an engineering role in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Solid Works or Creo
- Knowledge of mold flow analysis and Finite Element analysis
- Ability to balance customer, manufacturing, business, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, interact, and influence with all levels
