Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Director of Human Resources and Staffing to join our team. This key leadership position will manage the HR and staffing functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, disciplinary actions, and staff development. The Director will also ensure compliance with Federal and State employment laws and regulations, administer wage and retention plans, oversee employee benefits programs, and manage staffing needs across the agency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead recruitment efforts to attract and retain qualified candidates for various staffing needs.
- Oversee the staffing process, ensuring optimal employee allocation to meet client demands in home care and residential services.
- Oversee the onboarding, orientation, and employment verification process for all new employees.
- Administer employee relations, including disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and addressing staffing concerns.
- Develop and implement staff training, development, and retention programs.
- Ensure compliance with all Federal and State employment laws and regulations related to HR and staffing.
- Manage employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401k.
- Provide leadership in HR and staffing processes, including performance management, staff allocation, and workforce development.
- Maintain and enhance HR and staffing systems, including internet-based platforms and Google Drive.
- Collaborate with management on wage administration, staffing levels, and employee performance assessments.
- Supervise and provide guidance to HR and staffing personnel as needed.
- Manage HR and staffing documentation, record-keeping, and reporting.
- Evaluate staffing levels and collaborate with department heads to ensure adequate coverage for client care.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree with a minimum of 5 years of HR experience, OR
- Bachelor's degree required, with a preference for a degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of HR, staffing, or management experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare, home care, or residential services preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Federal and State employment laws and regulations.
- Proficient with computer systems, including internet-based HR platforms, Google Drive, and email systems.
- Ability to work independently, problem solve, and make decisions as necessary.
- Ability to interact positively with employees, clients, family members, and external personnel.
- Strong leadership, organizational, supervisory, and administrative abilities, including experience in staffing management.
