Our Human Resource Specialist (HR Specialist) performs a wide range of HR duties as well as handles employee-related issues. As the HR Specialist, you would be responsible for managing the people functions of the agency under the company's policies and practices as well as state and federal laws. The HR Specialist handles all administrative human resources functions for all of Quality Behavior Solutions locations, including employee relations, new hire orientations, compensation, benefits, performance reviews, leave of absences, and any other tasks assigned to them. The HR Specialist reports to the Director of Clinical Operations and Executive Director.

Starting Annual Salary: $68,000 - $70,000
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources preferred
- SPHR or PHR certification preferred
- Experience in the full range of HR functional areas including, but not limited to, employee relations and general HR initiatives
- A strong emphasis on workers compensation knowledge
- Strong HR background experience in organization development, compensation, benefits, employment and labor relations
- Extensive knowledge of federal and state labor laws and regulations
- Strong experience working in a multi-site, hourly population environment
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fast growing, constantly changing work environment
- Strong organizational, relationship building, and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical, planning skills and strategic thinking required
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Work with the executive team in reviewing, developing, revising, and executing human resource policies, procedures, manuals and forms applicable to the industry
- Ensure that the Company's policies and procedures are following applicable State and Federal employment laws
- Handle onboarding and offboarding tasks
- Manage the Company’s benefits
- Assist in maintaining employee files up to date
- Generate monthly reports including annual reviews, employee referral, I-9 audit list among others
- Generate and submit annual EEO-1, EEOC reporting data
- Leave of absence, ADA processes, unemployment, and worker's compensation administration and oversight
- Manage the performance management program and procedures, including but not limited to performance reviews, performance improvement plans, disciplinary action plans, etc.
- Handle employee performance issues and terminations
- Help maintain a positive employee relations environment and support the Company's mission, vision, culture, and core values
- Work with the executive team in implementing and executing proactive employee relations initiatives
- Support the agency’s retention goals and practices
- Counsel employees in the resolution of work-related problems and disputes
- Investigate/analyze legal issues and processes to provide policy guidance and information to management and employees
- Conduct investigations into allegations of discrimination or harassment; make recommendations based on findings
- Communicate and ensure compliance and understanding by employees of laws, regulations and organizational policies and procedures
