What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Assistant position at Quality Brands Distribution?
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical work week is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Days and hours may vary based upon business conditions.
Specific Job Duties May Include:
- Organizing, Compiling, proofing supplier invoices.
- Working with warehouse on supplier invoices when needed.
- Entering and paying vendor invoices.
- Generate ACH payments to suppliers/vendors.
- Printing Checks.
- Matching checks to invoices verifying amounts.
- Preparing Liquor tax returns.
- Preparing and submitting Sales and Use tax returns.
- Preparing real estate and personal property tax returns.
- Reconciling Monthly A/P accounts.
- Back- up for Accounts Receivable Specialist. Cross train in all areas.
- Provide assistance to other Quality Brands employees.
- Provide support for other Quality Executives.
Requirements:
- Must be detail oriented and thorough.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of and ability to use Excel, Word, Outlook email, phone system, 10-key calculator, copy machine, fax machine, and other office equipment as needed.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and balance administrative support workload among multiple individuals/teams.
- Capable of fulfilling non-normal work day hours as required.
- Able to multi task when needed.
Physical Demands:
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some occasional lifting of up to 30lbs. is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Occasional reaching, stretching, kneeling and twisting.
