Description
DESCRIPTION :
The Release Management Specialist III oversee the release management process for IT applications and services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Plan, coordinate, and execute release activities across different environments, such as development, testing, staging, and production
- Ensure releases meet quality standards and comply with security policies
- Define and document release management strategy, policies, and procedures for IT operations
- Collaborate with development, testing, operations, and security teams to plan and schedule release activities and resources
- Manage release pipeline and monitor progress and status of releases
- Communicate with stakeholders and provide updates on release deliverables, risks, and issues
- Coordinate and facilitate release readiness reviews, deployment approvals, and post-release evaluations
- Ensure releases are deployed in a timely and consistent manner across different environments using automated tools and scripts
- Troubleshoot and resolve release-related problems that occur during or after deployment
- Conduct quality assurance and security audits on releases and ensure they meet standards and requirements
- Collect and analyze feedback and metrics on releases and identify areas for improvement
- Maintain and update release documentation, records, and reports
- Take directions from the Release Management Team Lead
- Mentor and direct subordinate Release Management team staff
