Responsibilities

- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are communicated to healthcare professionals.
- Support clients with mobility and physical exercises to promote independence.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by following hygiene and safety protocols.
- Respect and uphold resident rights while fostering a dignified atmosphere.
- Engage clients in social activities that promote interaction and cognitive stimulation.
- Document care provided and report any concerns regarding client health or behavior to supervisors.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or personal care assistance is preferred.
- Familiarity with dementia care techniques and the specific needs of individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of home community care practices and resident rights within various living environments such as retirement homes or group homes is beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively with social workers, healthcare providers, and family members to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
