What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor for Youth Care Workers (PT: 7am-3pm or 3pm to 11pm weekends only) position at Quality Care Residential Homes, Inc.?
The weekend Supervising Youth Care Worker will perform all the duties of a Youth Care Worker. Receive supervision from Director. Entry level supervisory position. Supervisor will quality check facility, review staff documentation and youth files daily. Provide supervision and training to Youth Care Worker staff while being a job coach. Be a self-starter and have critical thinking skills. Communicate with Director. Assist in hiring & training process of newly hired Youth Care Workers. Making a positive difference in the lives of youth day by day!
Qualifications
Must have experience in a Supervisory role or position. Degree is required in related fields (e.g., social work, psychology, human services, management, etc.). First Aid and CPR certified a plus. Prefer to have at least one year of full-time equivalent paid or volunteer experience in the direct provision of care to children or youth. In good health, physically, mentally, and occupationally capable of performing assigned tasks.

- Performance evaluations of staff
- Understanding of the overall job as a youth care worker
Duties
- On-Call services
- Availability in-person on shift over 8 hours
- Supervise and Manage Youth Care Workers, ensure policies, procedures and mission followed by staff
- Response to crisis on shift
- Shops for group home as needed
- Manage Youth Care Workers/perform evaluations
- Assists director in daily functions and operations of the group home.
- Helps coordinate and develop policies in the group home
- Encourage and help youth to meet his or her Service Plan objectives.
- Supervise and monitor staff assisting youth with prescribed medications.
- Ensure a clean, healthy and safe environment.
- Transport youth to community activities.
- Coordinate scheduled activities (field trips, shopping and social events.)
- Quality Assurance check of youth files and daily paperwork of youth care workers.
- Training to new staff on daily policies and operations
- And any other duties requested by director/administration
