Quality Carriers, Inc. (QC), headquartered in Tampa, FL, is North America's largest bulk liquid chemical carrier. Through a network of more than 100 terminals and facilities, we transport a broad range of chemical products and provide our customers with value-added transportation services.
Our Operations team is looking for an IC Compliance Specialist (ICCS)/DM to join our team. The ICCS is a critical member of the Quality Carrier's team. This position is responsible for the relationship with an assigned group of Independent Contractors to ensure the contractor experience is a positive one. Quality operates on a 24/7 basis. As such, CCSR’s are expected to participate in an on-call schedule. This schedule will vary based on location and business needs.
Essential Functions:
- Tracks each IC in TMW for compliance to meeting QCI’s customers’ needs on all selected loads
- Works with an assigned group of Independent Contractors on a daily basis to advise them when requested in making good business decisions in choosing freight and preparing for repair costs.
- Fields IC settlement questions when requested
- Ensures IC’s are reaching their financial goals by advising them when they request assistance.
- Ensures all tractors are in a high level of repair and in full compliance with all DOT, federal, state and local regulations as well as all QC compliance standards.
- Counsel drivers on safety, compliance, and service issues as needed to include written documentation of any and all such counseling.
- Reviews OBER data and provides feedback and advice when requested to the contractor regarding events recorded and in accordance with the CCSR Safety Policy
Skill/Knowledge Requirements:
- Good communication skills and ability to deal with people;
- High School Diploma or equivalent; 2-year business degree preferred;
- 2-3 years bulk transportation industry experience;
- Knowledge of DOT requirements;
- Experience with safety procedures;
- Working knowledge of Google Platform, Word, Excel, and TMW
