This is a full-time Monday-Friday position, with a start time of 6am.

Position Summary:
Responsible for accurately completing daily and weekly processes. Responsible for materials and machinery to maintain facility and food safety. Responsible for receiving and delivery, quality and sanitation, and housekeeping performance improvements. Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices.
Job Duties:
- Follows the Quality Dairy Company Code of Excellence
- Ensures shipping and receiving standard operating procedures are followed
- Works with associates to facilitate their understanding of the shipping and receiving procedures
- Measures customer order fulfillment on a daily basis and maximizes shipping and receiving efficiency and accuracy
- Maintains an environment that achieves measurable results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost and customer relations on a daily basis
- Assists personnel to meet departmental demands
- Recommends methods for improvement in equipment, operating procedures and working conditions
- Communicates maintenance needs to Shipping and Receiving Crew Leader and Materials Planning Manager
- Communicates shortages of customer order fulfillment to appropriate management staff
- Follows policies, procedures and GMP’s
- Assists in training of associates to maintain equipment and facility and informs Manager of problems
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment and participates in housekeeping programs; communicates a high expectation to associates for facility cleanliness
- Assures departmental records are complete, accurate and legible
- Assists supervision to assure distribution of product is accurate and timely to attain customer satisfaction
- Ensures integrity of finished goods product is not compromised and product is shipped to food safety (temperature) standards
Essential Skills, Abilities and Physical Demands:
- Proven ability to operate all equipment involved in the shipping and receiving parameters of the shift in their area of responsibility
- Ability to move quickly and cover a large area
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, personalities, departments and hours
- Required to follow all safety procedures and GMP’s
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize time and meet quality expectations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, bend, twist, climb, lift and pull repetitively
- Exposure to temperature and noise extremes and hot and cold items
- Ability to remain flexible in scheduling to cover weekends, holidays and a 7 day a week operation
- Must be highly motivated, able to work independently and possess a strong desire to learn and improve
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year experience either in Quality Dairy bakery shipping and receiving or a similar manufacturing operation, preferred
- Ability to direct the actions of others
- Ability to communicate instructions clearly and effectively to shipping and receiving personnel
- Ability to communicate with supervisor in English and set daily as well as weekly goals
- Ability to communicate openly and freely with Supervisors and Managers in English
- Requires judgment and decision making
- Working knowledge of lockout/tag out procedures and other pertinent OSHA, EPA and MIOSHA practices
- Fork lift operator experience preferred
- Ability to work with and through other people to accomplish shipping and receiving demands, adapt to changing circumstances, personalities and hours
