Slickline Helper

Summary
•    Responsible for safe rigging up and rigging down operations and daily operations at the Customer site

Functional Responsibilities
•    Demonstrates reliability and reports for scheduled on-duty period of time
•    Shows initiative, demonstrates awareness, and follows instructions
•    Understands and has practiced personnel transfer to/from platform (swing ropes and personnel basket) and emergency evacuation drills
•    Able to identify, without notes, the major components of a standard equipment package, well head components, and describe its function
•    Keeps the location clean and performs normal housekeeping duties
•    Participates in 5x5 Safety and Observation Program
•    Participates in JSEA and Tailgate Safety Meetings
•    Other duties as assigned by Manager and Supervisor
•    Reports directly to Operator/Supervisor

Required Skills
•    Experience – 2 years
•    Language Skills – Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety manuals, operations instructions, and policies/procedures.
•    Ability to write reports and simple correspondence and effectively communicate/present information to groups of co-workers or customers 
•    Mathematical Skills – Basic Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
•    Reasoning Skills - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
•    Ability to handle problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.

Required Knowledge
•    Knows all components of a standard equipment package and can describe its function
•    Proficient in rigging up each component and understand the purpose of it
•    Well Head function components and its functions
     

Supervisory Responsibilities
•    None

Physical Demands
•    This job requires frequent heavy work
•    Employee will be exposed to high noise and the potential of chemicals and fumes or gases in the field environment
•    Employee will stand or walk 75% of the time and frequently be asked to bend, squat, or reach and occasionally climb
•    Employee will be on call 24 hrs.
