Job Description
Sales representative is responsible for selling equipment, service, rentals, and parts. Cultivates and develops customer relationships in person, via phone / internet and through cold calling. Responsible for retention and satisfaction of customers. Meets, and aims to exceed, sales goals established by sales management. Aids in market share growth for location. Educates customers on how equipment, products and services can benefit their end goal. Has extensive product knowledge and stays up to date on changes and trends in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Promotes an atmosphere of goodwill and accountability between the company and the customer. Acts in a professional manner and provides a superior level of customer service and satisfaction.
- Present, promote, demonstrate and sell equipment in a dealership setting.
- Quotes customer equipment and evaluates trade-in equipment within established company guidelines.
- Maintain existing customers and accounts while developing new customers and accounts.
- Keeps up to date on multiple product lines and manufacturing programs.
- Understands and keeps up to date on industry trends to maximize sales opportunity.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the sales manager.
- Must be willing to visit customers' locations and knock on doors.
