Job Title: Hotel Night AuditorJob Summary:
The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing the hotel’s operations during the night shift, ensuring that guest services are provided efficiently, and managing financial and accounting duties for the hotel. This role combines customer service with administrative tasks, such as balancing financial reports, processing guest check-ins and check-outs, and performing daily reconciliations. During this shift you will also prepare and serve guest breakfast.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Service:
- Greet and assist guests with check-ins, check-outs, and reservations.
- Address guest concerns and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Answer phone calls and assist guests with inquiries about the hotel or local area.
- Financial and Accounting:
- Reconcile the daily financial transactions and produce daily reports.
- Ensure accuracy of room charges, deposits, and other charges on guest accounts.
- Prepare and balance daily cash, credit card transactions, and billing information.
- Close out all daily transactions and ensure that hotel accounts balance properly.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of all guest interactions and financial transactions.
- Review and prepare financial reports for management review.
- Ensure that the front desk area is organized and clean during the night shift.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Communicate important information to the management team for review.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to address any guest or hotel needs during the night.
- Update reservation systems with accurate guest data and room availability.
- Security:
- Conduct regular checks of hotel premises to ensure safety and security.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in hotel or customer service roles is preferred.
- Strong understanding of hotel front desk operations.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during overnight hours.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to handle cash, process payments, and manage financial transactions accurately.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $10.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 32 per week
