QLS is looking for a part-time HR Administrative Assistant to join our team!!!

The HR Administrative Assistant provides entry-level support to the HR department through a variety of clerical and administrative tasks. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in human resources while assisting with employee onboarding, engagement activities, and day-to-day HR operations. The HR Administrative Assistant will help employees navigate HR processes, answer basic policy questions, and ensure accurate recordkeeping. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle confidential information are essential.
Payrate: $18-20/hr
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform general clerical tasks such as filing, organizing documents, data entry, and preparing basic HR reports.
- Assist in maintaining and organizing employee records and HR databases.
- Enter and update employee information accurately in HR systems.
- Assign courses within the Learning Management System (LMS) and assist with tracking course completions.
- Assist with employee onboarding, including documentation and orientation preparation.
- Support employee engagement initiatives such as newsletters, recognition programs, and internal communication efforts.
- Respond to employee questions and help guide them through HR processes and policies.
- Record and properly direct employee complaints and concerns.
- Assist with benefits administration and respond to general employee benefits inquiries.
- Support 30, 60, and 90-day employee check-ins to enhance onboarding and employee development.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Prior administrative and/or data entry experience preferred.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the HR field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Familiarity with HR systems, databases, or LMS platforms is a plus.
- Graphic design or Canva experience is a plus but not required.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in HR or business administration preferred.
- Prior experience in an administrative, clerical, or data entry role preferred.
- Experience in an HR support role is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to bend, reach, and stretch for filing and organizing documents.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
Salary : $18 - $20
