Purchasing Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing/Buyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing within a manufacturing environment or possess knowledge of manufacturing products. Experience with JobBoss or similar software is required. This role will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials and supplies required for our production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the procurement process from purchase order creation to delivery of goods.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Work closely with production and inventory teams to forecast material needs and ensure timely availability of materials.
• Maintain accurate records of all procurement transactions and inventory levels.
• Utilize JobBoss (or similar systems) to track and manage purchasing activities, ensuring compliance with company standards and procedures.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery conditions with suppliers to optimize costs.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure they meet quality and delivery requirements.
• Coordinate with the warehouse team to manage inventory levels and avoid stockouts or overstocking.
• Resolve issues related to incorrect or delayed deliveries and work with suppliers to prevent recurrence.
• Assist in the development and implementation of purchasing strategies and processes that align with company goals.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 4 years in a purchasing or buying role, ideally within a manufacturing environment or with manufacturing products.
• Software Knowledge: Experience with JobBoss or similar ERP systems is required.
• Skills:
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
