Quality Manufacturing Corporation, a fast-paced, metal fabrication company is looking to hire a 1st shift Safety Specialist. This position will work with all levels of Quality Manufacturing managers and employees to effectively develop new processes, conduct safety audits and investigations, and ensure compliance with government regulations and ISO certifications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop company-wide and position specific safety protocols.
- Conducts audits of work areas and suggests, develops, and administers safety solutions.
- Certified in first aid and CPR, serves as a first responder.
- Ensure ISO safety compliance.
- Administers the safety training program for new hires
- Conducts regular interactive safety meetings.
- Able to interpret OSHA regulations and apply to the industry standards
- Measure safety compliance and effectiveness
Experience:
- High School Graduate/G.E.D preferred
- Prior background or training in safety is preferred
- Knowledgeable of Best Safety Practices and OSHA Regulations, OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Prior experience in the Manufacturing industry preferred
- ISO 9001 certification preferred
- Good computer skills, familiar with basic programs
