SUMMARY
The Pump Technician uses principles of total quality management (TQM) to repair and overhaul equipment in the facility to maintain operational readiness. Ensures Safety procedures and processes are followed during all repairs and preventative maintenance. This position is responsible for the maintenance of pump, hoses and paint guns, including inspecting, ensuring they are in working order, troubleshooting, and other hands-on maintenance and repair work as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for building, disassembling, diagnosing, servicing, troubleshooting and testing of pumps, hoses and paint guns as needed
· Completes paperwork as needed
· Repairs the failure mechanism in the most cost-effective manner
· Performs preventive maintenance at specified intervals and schedules
· Change air filters including intake and exhaust systems including paint booths
· Support production equipment with pm and repairs
· Completes required reports when maintenance tasks are concluded
· Ability to function in a team environment
- Keeps the maintenance shop organized and in good working order
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 1 or more years experience in similar position
- Excellent communication skills
- Skilled in using common and specialized tools efficiently to make repairs and perform maintenance duties
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, work in uncomfortable environments and on ladders
- Must be able to reach, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb and balance
- General knowledge of the hazards chemicals and coatings
- Must be able to endure extended periods of standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and/or pulling
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Graco pump certification or similar
- Valid driver’s license
