Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pest Control Technician to join our family owned and operated small business. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and managing pest problems in residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of pest control methods and tools, along with excellent customer service skills. This position requires a proactive approach to pest management and the ability to work independently while driving to various job sites.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest infestations and determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Apply pest control treatments using hand tools, power tools, and farm machinery as needed.
- Provide recommendations for ongoing pest management and prevention strategies to clients.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, including the types of treatments used and any follow-up actions required.
- Educate clients on pest behavior, prevention techniques, and the importance of regular maintenance.
- Drive to various locations for service calls, ensuring timely arrival and professional conduct at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in pest control or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance, lawn care practices, and farm operations is a plus.
- Strong sales skills are advantageous for promoting additional services to clients.
- Ability to effectively use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- A valid driver's license is required for this position.
