We are seeking a skilled Repair Technician to join our team. As a Repair Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various types of equipment and machinery. This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to use both hand and power tools effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment
- Diagnose issues and troubleshoot problems
- Replace faulty parts and components
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems
- Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in vehicle maintenance or similar field
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Inspect railcars and document noted defects per the AAR Field Manual.
- Perform needed repairs based on findings from inspections.
- Using a torch, will heat, bend, and cut metal as needed to perform repairs in accordance with AAR Rules.
- After proper certification, will make needed welds to railcars in compliance with AAR Rules and Regulations.
- After proper training, will perform Air Brake testing in compliance with Publication S-486.
- Document repairs on Billing Repair Cards.
- Perform inventory and ordering of materials as needed.
- Other job duties and responsibilities that arise within the parameters of this position.

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
