HVAC Apprentice
Quality Service Company, LLC is a locally owned and operated HVAC company. Chris McDonald started Quality Service Company in 2003 after working with other local HVAC companies for around 10 years. In 2011, Chuck Polk joined in partnership with Chris. Chuck had been working in the HVAC industry for over two decades with local HVAC companies, then as a Trane employee, and then owning his own business. The two merged their companies together under the name, Quality Service Company, LLC.

We are seeking HVAC Apprentice who wants to learn to provide service on residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning systems to company standards. This is an entry-level position composed of learning the heating, air-conditioning trade.

Required Qualifications:
- Ability to safely use a ladder
- Basic safety knowledge of tools and surroundings and complying with Quality Service Safety practices and procedures
- Arrive and be prepared to begin assigned duties on time daily
- Arrive each day dressed in appropriate work attire following Quality Service dress code
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools
- Ability to unload/stock supplies and equipment from work vehicles
- Ability to complete precise cutting and drilling of items related to the repair and installation of HVAC equipment and plumbing equipment.
- Ability to fill out a daily timecard accurately
Essential Functions - Duties & Responsibilities:
Depending upon assignment, duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Must be able to stand, kneel and walk throughout the day to complete daily tasks and assignments.
- Must be able to operate a company vehicle in a safe and legal manner.
- Must be able to understand, follow written and verbal direction and communication
- Must be able to effectively report problems with company tools, equipment or company vehicle promptly to assigned training lead installer.
- Must be able to effectively work a staggered work schedule if on-call duties are assigned.
- Must be able to maintain a clean work environment including the company truck and job site.
- Must maintain professional appearance and demeanor.
- Must be able to use of ladders and climb stairs
- Must be able to work effectively with customers, co-workers and other subcontractors
- Ability to learn how to install, repair and maintain all types of heating and cooling equipment.
- Ability to learn basic knowledge of plumbing service repairs and installation
- Ability to learn to use Service Titan dispatch software
- Report problems with company tools or company vehicle promptly to your supervisor
- Other duties as assigned.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
- Trade school courses desirable.
