An established heavy civil construction firm near Anne Arundel County is seeking a highly detail-oriented, organized, and driven Senior Project Manager to oversee and manage multiple projects, ensuring successful completion within budget and on schedule. Serving as the lead estimator for both public and private sectors, the Senior Project Manager will deliver project profitability and meet company objectives. The ideal candidate will have a 4 year engineering degree and extensive knowledge of civil and structural engineering practices. Salary: Up to $165,000 - depending on experience

Essential Job Functions:
- Act as the lead estimator to develop cost estimates and contracts for construction projects across public and private sectors, procure materials, prepare detailed bids and proposals, maintain accurate files, and create purchase orders
- Monitor project progress and costs to maintain budget and schedule adherence, ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations
- Provide technical and engineering support for field operations
- Facilitate the permitting process by coordinating with permit consultants to secure required licenses and approvals
- Implement value engineering strategies to optimize costs while meeting client requirements
- Oversee subcontractor activities to ensure project efficiency, handle project scheduling, and manage project documentation
- Maintain excellent follow through with communications with current and prospective clients
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Experience Level: Senior - Level Experience, 10 years of experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Professional Engineer in civil/structural engineering preferred
- Solid knowledge of civil construction methods, standards, and contracts
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe), along with experience using ERP software for scheduling and project management
- Strong technical, customer service and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent organization skills, strong follow-through, and attention to detail are critical
- Clean driving record
Schedule: Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., flexible
