What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator Needed position at Quality Support Services?
Shift: Monday through Friday
1st shift 5:00am-3:30pm
2nd shift 6:30pm-5am
Pay: $20/hr.
Overtime available!
Ideally bilingual (Spanish and English)
Position Summary:
Natural Fiber Insulation Production Small Packing Machine Operator is responsible for effective and safe machine operation in a high paced dynamic environment. Will be responsible for machine set up, efficiency, quality, overall productivity of the machine.
You will be trained during the dayshift for one month but will be working second shift after training.
Responsibilities:
- Identify hazards by being pro-active in safety.
- Actively participates in maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Capable of trouble-shooting most day-to-day problems
- Able to spot problems with the machine itself.
- Familiar with Lock-out/Tag out procedures
Skills/Qualifications:
- SAFETY - Satisfactory safety record, having the attitude of safety first by being proactive in general.
- EXPERIENCE - Previous experience operating small machines in a high paced dynamic environment.
- LANGUAGE SKILLS - English Skills- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate machine status to incoming machine team.
- Forklift Experience
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be flexible and available to work overtime as required by production needs.
