We are seeking a Sr. Procurement Specialist who is responsible for management and oversight of all activities associated with supplier and subcontractor prequalification, RFP solicitation, bid tab evaluations, contract terms and conditions negotiations, contract generation and expediting oversight. This position will work with the Procurement and Project Managers to maintain policies and procedures as related to subcontracting, purchasing, and expediting. In addition, this position will be responsible for coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to meet requirements to support projects schedules.

This position will work with the Procurement and Project Managers to maintain policies and procedures as related to subcontracting, purchasing, and expediting. Key Responsibilities:
- Understands and supports pursuit and project schedule requirements
- Prepares the bidders list with input from the Project Manager and Procurement Manager, solicits pre-qualification information from suggested bidders, and analyzes/presents final recommendations
- Evaluates and determines MBE/WBE requirements for each proposal and ensures good faith effort is made as appropriate (in concert with the Project Manager, Estimating Manager, and Procurement Manager)
- Prepares requests for proposals and coordinates the issuance of any additions
- Receives proposals and prepares commercial evaluations
- Inclusion of necessary prime contract requirements in all contracts
- Reviews, negotiates, and obtains final approval of any deviations from procurement policies and procedures and/or project-specific terms and conditions
- Maintains positive long-term relationships with vendors and subcontractors
- Expedites equipment and materials to ensure on-time delivery per the project schedule
- Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures
- Performs special projects and completes other duties as assigned or requested
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or relevant field
- 7 years of Transmission & Distribution (T&D) experience within the Procurement space
- Specific knowledge of substation and transmission equipment
- Prior experience working with a T&D material vendors and subcontractors
- Prior experience of negotiating contracts with subcontractors and vendors
- Prior experience leading the procurement efforts for both the proposal and execution phases of T&D projects
- Prior experience supporting estimating during the proposal phase of projects
