Position Summary:
Responsible for all aspects of benefits for a rapidly growing, 1000 employee, multi-location facility (all locations in Lavergne, TN area) including but not limited to annual review of benefit package, new and annual enrollments, life event changes, invoice reconciliation, leave management, coordination with payroll regarding benefit assignment and deductions; other HR responsibilities including assisting with employee relations, payroll, recruiting, training, events, etc., as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Serve as primary contact for all employee benefit programs for employees, brokers, insurance companies and HRIS contacts.
- Organize and conduct new hire enrollment meetings.
- Assist employees with all benefit-related questions through to resolution.
- Manage Leave of Absence cases: FMLA, ADA and Personal Leaves, ensuring requirements are met, paperwork is complete, supervisors/managers are updated, information is entered into HRIS, etc.
- Manage Open Enrollment process annually, including conducting information meetings on all shifts at all locations – 2 shifts/5 buildings in LaVergne area.
- Administer Tuition Reimbursement/Professional Certification program and timely processing of payments. Manage applications to ensure they align with program guidelines.
- Monitor enrollment of benefits and provide monthly metrics to Sr. HR Manager to track satisfaction with offering.
- Assist the Senior HR Manager in determining annual benefit options to increase employee engagement and retention.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Familiarity with FMLA, ADA, HIPAA and other relevant HR Laws.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an HR Generalist or Benefits Specialist role.
- Experience in utilizing HRIS to administer benefits.
- PHR or SPHR preferred.

- Must have a Valid Passport or other documents allowing international travel or ability to obtain within 90 days.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to distinguish between colors.
- Ability to bend, stoop, stand/sit for prolonged periods, move about production and warehouse facilities.
- Ability to travel occasionally, including internationally – travel required is minimal – less than 5%.
- Position is in a normal office setting and includes time spent in warehouse/production environment as needed to meet with employees.
