Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Industrial Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing production layouts within our warehouse to enhance productivity and meet quality standards. You will work closely with various departments to evaluate current production processes, design efficient workflows, and implement solutions to minimize waste, reduce costs, and improve overall production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate current manufacturing practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Design efficient production processes and workflows to optimize operations.
- Ensure that processes are in place to meet quality standards for products.
- Implement quality control measures to reduce waste and improve product quality.
- Improve production process efficiency by analyzing workflows and identifying areas for enhancement.
- Assess employee tasks and responsibilities, identifying tools or procedures to boost productivity.
- Develop and implement controls to monitor costs and minimize production issues.
- Identify potential facility locations and design layouts to improve operational flow.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop design and production standards.
- Prepare inventory analysis and generate procurement purchase orders to meet production needs.
- Design facility layouts and plan personnel requirements based on production operations.
- Develop and update instruction manuals for production personnel.
- Ensure all work processes meet safety standards and address any safety concerns.
- Generate detailed process documentation and reports for management.
- Collaborate with technical writers to prepare client and customer proposals.
- Conduct production capacity analysis to ensure operational efficiency.

- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Just In Time (JIT) strategies.

- Understanding of ergonomics and its application in industrial settings.
- Project management skills to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Proficient in using presentation software to communicate complex information to management.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative tools (preferred).
- Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) platforms.
- Experience with SAP software is a plus.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Process Control, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience as an Industrial Engineer in a manufacturing environment or equivalent training.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to walk, talk, and listen.
- Occasionally required to stand, sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
