Job Summary:
The Quanta Manufacturing Fremont (QMF) Network Engineering team is responsible for architecting, building, automating, and managing our Network Infrastructure at our campus in Fremont, CA and our public cloud providers. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will work with talented colleagues on challenging projects within the IT Infrastructure. You'll bring a proactive approach to network management and support, addressing both immediate operational requirements and long-term network stability. This position will be located in our Fremont, CA headquarters.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Implement, and maintain various network infrastructures, focusing on scalability, reliability, and security.
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
- Monitor network performance, ensure system availability and reliability, and provide network optimization recommendations.
- Troubleshoot network problems, outages, and ensure rapid resolution of network incidents.
- Work with the latest network management tools
- Establish & maintain a strong relationship with the business including local, remote, and regional users regarding network technology solutions.
- Document network configuration and operational procedures.
- Establish & maintain healthy working relationships with all technology departments
- Be viewed as a knowledgeable and reliable technical resource across all network technologies.
- Ensure the business understands our service portfolio by translating technical solutions into simple to understandable dialogue
- Manage and support Public Clouds associated security and network services like PAN, Firewall, etc.
- Partner with the InfoSec team to ensure Security best practices are enforced in an effective and scalable manner.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 5 years extensive network engineering, with experience in architecting, designing and implementing enterprise (Data center/Public Clouds) at scale using industry standard networking solutions.
- Understanding of Enterprise Network design, including Data Center, Campus, Public Cloud, and Global WAN connectivity.
- Understanding of IPv4/IPv6, BGP/MBGP, OSPF, VPN, LAN, and L2 switching
- Proficient in AWS and Azure Public Cloud platforms.
- Azure VWAN, VNET Peering, VPN, Firewall, and NSG
- Palo Alto Networks Prisma Access, Global Protect, and Virtual Firewall
- 5 Years’ experience with Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto Networks and/or Fortinet technology
Education and Experience
- Minimum 4-year college degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent discipline.
- CCNA Certification.
- CCNP Certification a plus
