Job Summary :
We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor with a strong production background in industrial machinery to lead and manage operations directly from the production floor. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the work of 12-14 employees, including 3 team leaders, ensuring seamless operations and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves travel (20-30%) to visit client for installations, gain insights into operational challenges, and drive enhancements in production processes or possible trouble shooting.
Key Responsibilities :
Production Leadership :
- Lead from the production floor, ensuring close supervision of daily operations and active engagement with the team.
- Coordinate and manage 3 team leaders and their respective teams to meet production goals, quality standards, and delivery deadlines.
- Develop a deep understanding of production processes and proactively address challenges as they arise.
Talent Development and Workforce Management :
Attract, onboard, and train new talent to manage generational change within the workforce while maintaining high levels of team cohesion and productivity.Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.Operational Oversight and Process Improvement :
Oversee production workflows, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.Travel to client installations to gain direct insights into product performance, customer feedback, and operational improvement opportunities.Utilize knowledge gained from client visits to implement targeted improvements in production processes.Strategic Contributions :
Play an active role in transitioning to an upgraded information system, enhancing production planning and operational efficiency.Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement strategies for optimizing production capacity and aligning operations with business objectives.Monitor key metrics, ensuring production schedules and client expectations are met consistently.Qualifications :
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a production management or supervisory role, preferably in the industrial machinery sector.Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams directly from the production floor, combining hands-on involvement with strategic oversight.Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience in onboarding and developing talent.Familiarity with production planning, quality assurance, and system implementation.Willingness to travel 20-30% of the time to client sites for installations and process evaluations.Proficiency in Office software; ERP system experience required. Quick Books preferred.A technical or engineering background is preferred but not mandatory if balanced with significant hands-on production experience.What We Offer :
