Job Description:
Our client is seeking a qualified contractor to provide desktop support services as part of their Incident Response Team. This is an on-site position located in a cubicle environment at a secure data center in Frankfort, KY.
This role requires a professional with solid technical troubleshooting abilities, a customer-first mindset, and a commitment to reliable support. The position includes face-to-face and remote user support, so strong customer service skills are equally important as technical capability.
Schedule Details:
- Business Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 6:00 PM | Saturday, 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM
- Your Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2–3 years of experience as a Desktop Support Technician
- Strong knowledge in hardware/software troubleshooting and remote desktop support
- Proficiency with Windows 10 operating system
- Experience supporting Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook 2013 or newer)
- Familiarity with Active Directory
- Basic network troubleshooting including mapping drives and general NAS knowledge
- Ability to support VPN tools like GlobalProtect
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, including:
- Empathy, patience, and professionalism
- Ability to simplify technical explanations
- Calm demeanor under pressure
- Ownership mentality (not defensive or argumentative)
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment and work in physically uncomfortable positions as needed
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Must be reliable and punctual
Preferred (Bonus) Experience:
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
- Previous experience working in high-volume or fast-paced support environments
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work well as part of a team-oriented support unit
