Employment Type: Full-Time – on-site

Job Summary: 

We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring solid knowledge and understanding in a variety of HR functions, high energy and a positive attitude, ensuring compliance with employment labor laws and supporting our workforce management initiatives. This onsite position will report directly to the General Manager and will support day-to-day HR admin operations, including new employee onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance, fostering healthy workplace practices throughout every department. This position requires the ability to work both independently and as a trusted partner with the Director of Human Resources to ensure seamless customer service to our Quantic team. This individual contributor role assists with HR Generalist responsibilities supporting the main facility in Rhode Island as well as three satellite plants in Arizona, Maine, and Virginia. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Assist with administering all HR functions including full-cycle payroll processing for facilities in Rhode Island and Maine.

Assist with administering employee benefits including open enrollment, new hires, annual audits, leave administration and compliance.

Assist and respond to employee benefit questions and/or directing them to appropriate benefit resources.

Provide basic guidance on HR policies and procedures. Support the HR team in addressing employee concerns and resolving issues. 

Provide support with our onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.

Assist with the recruiting process, including job postings, screening candidates, coordinating interviews and successfully onboard top-level talent in a competitive marketplace. 

Support the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives, such as surveys, team building activities, and recognition programs. Help contribute to creating an inclusive work environment.

Assist with Safety initiatives, OSHA compliance and Worker’s Compensation.

Maintain accurate and up to date employee records and ensure compliance with employment labor laws and regulations.

Utilize HR software, Paylocity, and tools for efficient data management metrics, and reporting.

Assist and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices. 

Coordinate and schedule all mandatory training sessions, ensuring all required employees are enrolled and complete their training on time. Track completion and maintain accurate records of employee certifications and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation. 

Other duties as assigned. 


Requirements

 

Qualifications & Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree preferred but can be substituted with demonstrated experience. 

2-4 years proven experience in human resources, with a strong understanding of HR practices and procedures.

Familiarity with workforce management principles and employment labor laws and practices.

Must have experience with an Enterprise level HRIS – Paylocity, Paycom, Paychex, ADP, Kronos, etc. (Paylocity preferred)

Hands-on experience with all aspects of payroll and benefits to support Payroll/Benefits administration.

Must have strong computer skills across MS Office Suite. 

Exceptional customer service skills and a heart for service.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Spanish a plus. 

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all employee and company information.

HR certificate a plus (PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP) 

Minimum travel required (<10%)
