Job Title: Food Technologist/ Laboratory Technician
Job Type: Contract
Length: Thru the end of 2025 with extensions
Location: Onsite – Glenview , IL
Rate: $32.16 - 35.16/hr
Responsibilities:
• Aid in the development of new ingredient technology
• Conduct bench top and pilot plant trials to optimize formulation and processes
• Perform functional evaluations of new ingredients and record results
• Perform sensory testing of prototypes
• Perform shelf-life and stability evaluations
• Coordinate team evaluations on a regular basis
• Submit prototypes and samples for analytical testing and compile results
• Performing sample analysis after training on analytical equipment
• Communicate with suppliers for ingredient requests and information
• Write progress reports
• Aid in maintenance of lab equipment
• Maintain and organize laboratory and supplies
• Ensure laboratory safety
Requirements:
-B.S. in Food Science or similar field
-Laboratory experience from B.S degree coursework or work experience
-Strong work ethic and enthusiasm
-Local candidate (relocation not offered)
-Experience working in a laboratory setting with food ingredients
