Job Summary
Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers.

Support the efforts of management in meeting profit and growth objectives as established in the strategic business plan.
Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and the organizations.
Work safely, within the company guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOP) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
The Maintenance Coordinator is accountable for the successful coordination and administration of these activities; Fleet Maintenance, Repair, PMs performed on schedule, Breakdowns, Campaigns and other duties as assigned.
All actions will be in support of increasing line of business satisfaction, lowering the cost of repairs / ownership and increasing equipment availability.
This includes the development and execution of long and short range goals, action plans and effective process support / implementation.

Responsibilities
Work with Suppliers and Employees by phone, email, and other ensuring the completion of repair tasks within the timeline and estimated costs agreed on before the work is approved to be started.
Assign repairs to vendors, and shops matching the best repair plans to complete the task to meet our company goals.
While working to ensure repairs are completed, look other repairs needed that can be done at the same time that the unit is down for repair, and warranty coverage that will reduce cost.
Reviews completed invoices and Repair Orders for timeliness, completeness, accuracy, and quality and final closes all repair orders.
Works closely with Maintenance Management and Terminal Managers to ensure a complimentary and cohesive process of tractor / trailer and equipment repairs, rapid turnaround of equipment, and quality assurance / quality control procedures are in place and functioning properly.
Maintain a strong relationship with mechanics, drivers, and business leaders of the company.
This includes frequent communication to understand the business needs and the priority of the equipment.
Responsible for regular communication with the vendors and shops to include sharing the teams performance metrics, and corporate updates.
Responsible for maintaining equipment maintenance costs within Company budgeted amounts to be measured on a monthly basis for assigned terminals.
Maintain work area in a present clean and orderly appearance.
Initiates and carries out projects that improve efficiency and / or reduce operating costs. Participates in periodic maintenance management meetings.
Minimum requirements
Ability to communicate tactfully and courteously with business management employees, Suppliers, Drivers, Mechanics, and all other internal / external customers.
Ability to plan, and organize work.
Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, analyze data, and meet multiple deadlines.
Ability to take a teamwork approach to the job by cooperating with others, offering to help others when needed, and considering larger organization or team goals rather than individual concerns.
Includes the ability to build a constructive team spirit where team members are committed to the goals and objectives of the team.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Shop, Parts or Operational Leadership experience a major plus
Ability to organize and multi-task
