Quantum Education Professionals is seeking an Orientation and Mobility Specialist for a school-based role serving students.
In this role, you will engage with students and passionate teammates. Part and full-time opportunities are available.
Responsibilities:
- Assess student's functional abilities for the purpose of determining program eligibility and developing recommendations for treatment and appropriate assistive devices.
- Develop orientation and mobility plans for the purpose of ensuring compliance with IEP goals.
- Instruct students in the use of various equipment and materials for the purpose of minimizing the adverse impact of visual impairments and helping students reach their highest level of independence.
- Participate in IEP/Evaluation/Transition meetings.
- Collaborate with a variety of professionals and individuals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree
- Current Orientation and Mobility Certification from the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals (ACVREP)
