Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems in various settings, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction practices and the ability to read and interpret schematics related to fire protection systems. Duties
- Install fire sprinkler systems according to blueprints and specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of existing fire sprinkler systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning sprinkler systems.
- Collaborate with construction teams on-site to ensure proper installation and integration of fire protection systems.
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting and installation.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and requirements.
- Perform tasks such as pipe threading, welding, and plumbing as needed for system installation.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local codes and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fire sprinkler installation or related construction field.
- Knowledge of pipeline construction practices and techniques.
- Ability to rig materials safely on construction sites.
- Proficiency in using tools such as calipers for precise measurements.
- Strong understanding of plumbing principles as they relate to fire protection systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be detail-oriented with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.
