Shipping Receiving Inventory Clerk (1st shift)

Description

Job Purpose :

Shipping and receiving product as well as doing inventory functions. Pulling parts to support production workorders and shipments. Packaging / crating of parts.

Job Duties and Responsibilities :

• Perform material receiving transactions physically and in JDE
• Maintain accurate receiving logs
• Interact with Quality Control (QC) to verify customer and company specifications are met
• Allocate and release pick list and generate packing lists
• Pull parts from inventory for work orders, sales orders, and material transactions
• Package / crate parts for shipments as to protect from shipping & handling damage.
• Arrange pick-ups with freight carriers
• Ship product via truck, UPS, FedEx, etc.
• Maintain accurate shipping logs
• Assign incoming stock's warehouse location per FIFO
• Place in-coming stock into inventory warehouse
• Perform material requisition and inventory transactions in JDE
• Perform cycle counts (physical count and reconciliation of variances)
• Close production work orders
• Send ASNs where necessary.
• Department clean-up & maintenance
• Adopt and implement the Quality Assurance Procedures-QAP and Departmental Work Instructions-DWI, identified in QEMS Employee Training Matrix located on the LAN
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Job Requirements :

This is primarily an active warehouse position with employee working in a production / warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone keypad or to write, as well as talk and hear. They are required to climb a ladder or staircase, stand, walk, or sit, reach with hands and arms, stop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus. This position involves lifting, up to 50 pounds.
