Position Summary:
The Estimating and Workflow Specialist will be the liaison between Finance, Customer Service, and Operations. By marshaling various internal and external resources to produce accurate cost estimates with effective job plans, they will drive revenue for the company while helping to keep material and labor costs both competitive and manageable. This will enable Quantum to service and exceed client expectations while maintaining healthy profitability.
Salary Range: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 a year, Paid Time Off, 401(k), and Benefits for Full Time permanent employees!
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Duties/Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; as the position matures, other duties will evolve.
- Day to day management of incoming requests for quotes and pricing for potential projects submitted by Sales as well as processing internal pricing revisions and tracking changes for ongoing work alongside Project Managers, Client Services, and Operations.
- Interpretation and analysis of incoming specifications and requests followed by gathering all necessary details and clarifying all questions in order to align job specifications to current manufacturing capability.
- Based on the above, engineering the process and selecting the workflow in partnership with Operations and the Director to provide both efficient and effective job plans to the plant and competitive pricing to Sales and the marketplace.
- Execute accurate estimates using EFI Pace utilizing the above.
- Work with paper merchants, finishers, print and service providers, and manufacturers to get pricing for raw materials, outside products and services as needed.
- Maintain a centralized repository of all equipment specifications and capabilities for both Quantum and various outside vendors and suppliers.
- Act as a resource to Sales regarding sample procurement, information on substrates and raw materials, manufacturing and finishing techniques, and equipment capabilities.
- Participate in daily production meetings and planning meetings as scheduled.
Qualifications:
- Sheetfed and digital print experience required.
- 2 or more years as an estimator, planner, CSR, or project manager
- Experience with EFI Pace or estimating system similar in scope to EFI Pace (Hagen, Monarch, Radius); be prepared to discuss in detail.
- Strong Excel skills

- Work in a manufacturing or warehouse setting about 25% of the time.

- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on occasion.
